Dry Canyon August 2024

Keep Cloudcroft Clean has had a great year of clean-ups so far.  By the time you read this, we will have hopefully cleaned up the camping areas of Dry Canyon Road (weather permitting).  We hope to have had a wonderful turnout.  Campers have left tons of trash out there all summer!  It’s disgusting that people do this, but this is why KCC was created!

We had a great clean-up at Zenith Park in June.  Someone had gotten to Zenith before our clean-up, so it was not bad at all…thank goodness, and thank you to whoever cleaned it!

We also have exciting news!  Keep Cloudcroft Clean now has a new drone pilot to take aerial shots and video of clean-ups and to aid with clean-up site selection!  Alex received his remote pilot’s license from the FAA in early July.  This is a huge step for us!  We are working on getting our website up and running where the footage will be uploaded.  We will post on our Facebook and Instagram pages as well.  Applicable footage will also be available to the Village and the Chamber of Commerce.

We are still in need of help to convert three wine barrels (donated by Noisy Water Winery) into trash bins that will be placed on Burro Street.  If you or know of anyone who can help with this, please contact Alex or Sonnie.

Our next clean-up will be at the Cloudcroft Museum and surrounding area on August 10th at 11:00 AM.  If you have any suggestions on future clean-ups, please contact us.  As always, we will supply everything you need.  Closed-toed shoes are highly recommended for safety purposes.
